Established in 1977, Wessex Tree Surgeons Ltd is a family-run business, providing personal, friendly and professional arboricultural contractual and consultancy services to residential and commercial customers in the New Forest, Hampshire, Dorset, Devon, Somerset and surrounding areas. We achieved Arboricultural Association Approved Contractor status in 1990 and have retained this accreditation continuously to the present day. Our teams are experienced and qualified with regular training in current arboricultural practices and up-to-date Health and Safety requirements. The teams are well-presented with customised attire delivering quality workmanship to BS3998:2010 for all our customers. Our teams are supported by a full-time experienced, qualified, proficient and friendly office-based team supporting our on-site teams. We have excellent working relationships in coordinating and cooperating with local authorities, government organisations and utility providers.
All our climbing equipment is inspected daily by the user, recorded fit for use weekly and inspected professionally every 6 months (12 months for lowering equipment) by our internal LOLER registered inspector.

We achieved Approved Contractor status with the Arboricultural Association in 1990 and have retained this continuously for the last 26 years. We are fully qualified, accredited and insured.
We are regularly assessed in health and safety having the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme accreditation audit every year, an Arboricultural Association full audit every 5 years, external audit by safety representative periodically, and internal safety audit monthly by the contract managers. All tree lifting and lowering equipment (LOLER) is inspected and recorded weekly by the user, climbing equipment is checked every 6 months, and climbing and lowering equipment every 12 months by an external LOLER registered inspector.
